Private Yoga Instruction
Private lessons can be held at my in-home studio in Historic Anacostia (D.C.) or via Zoom. We can also discuss other locations such as a rented space.
Is this you?
Are you a beginner who wants to jump start your practice?
Have you practiced before but hope to refine the fundamentals in a more customized experience?
Are you a seasoned practitioner looking to fine tune your postures (asana) given your unique idiosyncrasies or to further incorporate breathwork (pranayama) and meditation (dhyana)?
Are you hoping to learn more about yoga beyond the mat, including yoga philosophy?
Are you a yoga teacher who desires personalized mentorship or who wants to re-commit to your own yoga practice?
Do you simply prefer customized instruction outside of a group yoga class?

More About Private Yoga
Why Private Instruction?
Private sessions allow for personal design, individualized attention and accountability at your convenience.
Yoga is a unique experience for all of us. We each come to it for a myriad of reasons, and we often stay with it for other, different motivations. Private instruction is a fantastic way to explore further your evolution with this practice. Together, we’ll design sessions according to your specific wants and accounting for what you need for quality, safe and accessible yoga for you.
Possible areas that we might explore together include:
Postures (asana), breathwork (pranayama) and meditation (dhyana);
The balance between strength and flexibility;
The development of a home practice;
The use of yoga to reduce stress and manage anxiety;
A deeper understanding of yoga overall; and
Yoga’s integration into the context of every day’s work-life imbalance.
Please note: private lessons are not substitutes for care provided by medical professionals, such as doctors and physical therapists. The services offered by these professionals are beyond the scope of practice of any yoga teacher unless also credentialed in these fields.
